We offer full board which includes use of all amenities including year-round outdoor sand arena, cross-tie tack up areas, indoor hot & cold water, outdoor cold water wash rack, heated bathroom, tack and feed rooms, & covered balcony overlooking riding arena for observertation.  Horses enjoy daily turnout in large paddocks, stabling in 12X12 box stalls at night, 2 grain and 3 hay feeds per day & scheduling for tri-monthly deworming program.

We offer lessons with on-site Certified EC Level 1 English Coach, Alex Pinfold. Emphasis is placed on developing strong basic riding skills, safety and correct position. Alex has 16 years experience in basic dressage & hunter/jumper styles of riding and training. She has a background in Pony Club which has developed into a passion for young horses and riders. She promotes the love of horses and devlopment of young riders into future equestrian athletes. Alex believes in positive experiences to build rider confidence and to support  and educate riders in order for them to reach their individual goals, whether in riding, training or competition. Emphasis is placed on working to develop quality horsemanship, effectiveness of the rider & harmony with the horse. And of course, the most important part of equestrian sport and competition is to have fun!

All riders are required to have current HCBC insurance, appropriate riding boots & ASTM/SEI approved riding helmet.

Availability & Scheduling

Lessons are taught Tuesday - Friday afternoons & all day Saturdays. On Horse Show weekends, Saturday lessons are either cancelled or rescheduled. Training is offered on a monthly or per-session basis at Dragon Hill Farm. Basic flatwork & jumping schooling is offered, as well as starting of young horses. Experience is with many different types of horses, including difficult & stubborn horses, as well as horses needing retraining in a particular discipline. Training is based on positive reinforcement, encouraging horses to work willingly and respectfully with the riding or handler.

Monthly training includes 5 sessions per week. Single schooling sessions and longeing sessions are approx. 1 hour duration.
(Please note: Training rates do not include the cost of board.)

We offer braiding & mane pulling services for all occasions by appointment only. Whether you are looking to get that wild mane under control, have a quick braiding solution for a show, or arrange a braiding education session for your barn or club - we can do it all. All styles of braids are neat, tidy, professional & trendy. We offer hunter or dressage style manes, forelocks, tails & tail extensions. Braids are finished with wool (you provide in your choice of color) and may be tied or sewn in depending on preference. 

Manes- running, scalloped, hunter flat, or button style.

Tails- hunter style running braid with wrap-around, pinwheel or fold-under style finish.
